Irep Gøzen

A tentative title of the talk: The possible role of solid interfaces in protocell formation at the origins of life.
A brief biosketch
Irep Gözen is group leader at the Nordic Centre for Molecular Medicine and associate professor at the Department of Chemistry- University of Oslo. She performed her undergraduate studies at Istanbul Technical University-Turkey, in the double major program of environmental engineering, and molecular biology and genetics. She received her PhD degree in Physical Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg in 2013. After postdoctoral training at MIT and Harvard University, she joined UiO in 2016. Her areas of research are artificial cells and organelles as well as the protocells and the origins of life from the angle of biophysics and materials science.
