NSB have daily departures from Oslo and Bergen to Gol station (3 and 3,5 hour journeys, respectively). A shuttle is offered from Gol station to Storefjell Resort (200 NOK for a return trip). Reservation of a seat in the shuttle is done when registering for the conference.
SAS and Norwegian Air shuttle have many daily flights to Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) from all over Norway. We will organize buses travelling OSL-Storefjell-OSL. These buses will correspond with morning flights from Tromsø and Trondheim (departure approximately 09:30), and will return after breakfast on the Sunday (departure approximately 10:00). The travel time from OSL to Storefjell is around 3 hours. The price for the bus (return trip) is 500 NOK. Purchase of a bus ticket can be done when registering for the conference.
An alternative strategy to get to Storefjell from OSL is to take the airport express train to Oslo S (departs every 10 minutes, travel time 19 minutes) and catch a train to Gol (PS! only a few departures per day) and shuttlebus to Storefjell.
Chartered buses will travel from Ås (NMBU) and Oslo S to Storefjell (and back). Buses will depart from Ås 08:00 Thursday 19th January and return Sunday 22th January at 10:30.

NBS has reserved a number of rooms at one of Scandinavia’s largest hotel, the conference hotel Storefjell Resort Geilo. This is also where the conference banquet will take place. The conference facilities are flexible and modern with good technical solutions, spread over 4,500 sqm. Storefjell Resort Hotel has 300 rooms of various sizes and standards. All rooms have tiled bathrooms, minibar, office desk, WiFi and 39 -inch LED TV. The hotel has approximately 1,500 sqm. with common areas for social gatherings. Within this area you will find lounges, piano bar, nightclub, library, dancing, and 4 bars. Other facilities mentioned include SPA, water park, gym, squash hall, solarium, ironing room, and laundry facilities.
The location and time schedule allow several opportunities for social interactions and for enjoying outdoor activities. Storefjell Ski- and Sledding Centre is located right by the hotel, with eight slopes of varying length and difficulty. There is also a separate slope for special sleds. There is an illuminated track for cross-country skiing for those who like to exercise during the evening. To allow a higher number of participants and to reduce prices, we recommend people to stay in double rooms. Reservation of rooms can be done through the registration page.
