Welcome to the 60th Contact Meeting of the Norwegian Bioscience Society! The organizing committee in Trondheim is delighted to host this anniversary meeting which will take place from January 23-26, 2025, at Røros Hotel in Røros.
The NBS Contact meeting (also called winter meeting) has for decades been a place where Norwegian scientists, students, engineers and industry representatives within biosciences meet to discuss recent advances in the fields and to network. In line with this, this year’s meeting offers an excellent scientific program with internationally renowned speakers within plant and human developmental biology, neuroscience, cancer, infection and inflammatory disease, cell biology, nano-/biomaterials and innovations in biosciences. This is accompanied with mini-symposia and poster sessions, exhibitions by all you favorite vendors and a fun social program.
We aim to continue the traditions of the NBS contact meeting as an open arena where research communities in Norway can gather and network – as a contrast to the increasingly specialized international conferences available. Many students and young researchers have found their next job or mentor right here at the winter meeting, and every delegate will have the opportunity to present their own research as a short-talk or a poster.
NBS Trondheim have high hopes for good participation from all over the country and encourages group leaders to participate themselves, and to inform young researchers and students, who may not have heard of NBS, about this opportunity to attend what we hope will be a great experience at Røros!
